The vision behind Vapor Trail Analytics involves the formation of an analytical
laboratory dedicated to the simultaneous analysis of volatile and semivolatile compounds.
A specific area of specialization includes defensible analytical capabilities in support of toxic
organic vapor intrusion studies utilizing active and passive sorbent methodologies such as US EPA
Method TO-17. In addition to providing coverage for typical TO-15 analytes, these services will
greatly improve recoveries for less volatile analytes (i.e. naphthalene) and extend the target
range up through the diesel and home heating oil ranges. Due to condensation and resulting recovery
problems, these latter analytes are simply inaccessible to canister-based methods. With our
specialized air sampling scheme, it will now be possible to sample indoor environments over periods
of days rather than hours.
Vapor Trail Analytics implements a variety of methodologies designed for simultaneous
volatile and semivolatile analysis of emissions from food, beverage, flavor, and fragrance components,
as well as materials from a variety of processes and industries.
Vapor Trail Analytics announces a new testing methodology for ozone depleting chemicals (ODC) in products
containing printed circuit boards and other electrical components
Economical testing is now available to manufacturers and importers of electrical components that are paying an ODC
excise tax under Sections 4681 and 4682 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. This testing will allow a business to
accurately determine the absence or presence of taxable ODCs that may or may not be within the products that they
manufacture, import, distribute or sell. Examples of product types that may benefit from this technology include televisions,
cameras, computers, camcorders, answering machines, stereos/radios, foamed furniture products, and many others.
Call Vapor Trail Analytics to discuss this exciting new development.
